It works well on stock injectors and performs even better with larger injector setups up to 190cc. For this reason, it fits both street-driven trucks and performance builds. Unlike journal-bearing turbos, the dual ball bearing design reduces friction. As a result, the S3R delivers smooth power across the RPM range while maintaining strong low-end torque. However, some aftermarket exhaust brake systems restrict exhaust flow. Because flapper-style designs create excessive backpressure, we do not recommend using them with this turbo.
